This computer science network at world-wide level, the Internet, this conformed by a great number of connected computers to each other, using special protocols to be able to communicate.
The Internet and its history, can be overcome, to years before the same like a popular public or world-wide network arose.
And it is that the space race, between the United States and the Soviet Union, partly a struggle of being able, took to that slowly went forging the Internet.
Then, everything begins when losing the United States the first battle of the space race, with the launching of the Sputnik, on the part of the USSR. It is thus, like a countermeasure of the United States, the Agency of Projects Advanced of Investigación or ARPA is created (Advance Research Proyects Agency). This agency, next to National Society Foundation (NFS), played a fundamental role, in the development of the Internet.
ARPA agency, was to position, of diverse thematic sensible for the United States. Mainly in the area of national security. The central idea of this agency, was that the Russians, did not return to surprise the North American government, with technological advances, as it happened with the Sputnik.
Then, ARPA, handled great amounts of information and needed to create a fast medium and efficient, to transport it from office to office. The initial idea, was to use the computers, whereupon the agency counted. That is, that worked in network.
The unique problem, was the wiring whereupon it was due to count. Since against a possible war, these would be seen seriously affected. It is thus, as they devise to create a decentralized network, transmitting messages subdivided in packages, so that when they arrived at his final destiny, they regrouped and they formed the original message (interchange of packages).
Therefore, it even served like safety measure, since if they tried to cut the communication, the enemies would only receive part of the message and not the whole.
For 1965, ARPA, manages to connect by means of an experiment, to the University of Berkley with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Cables of telephone lines were used. Giving to passage to the first network of ample area or Wide Area Network (WAN). It is thus, like soon after, ARPA, is put in campaign, to carry out ARPANET. The first network of computers.
Of equal way, other institutions that were been working the same concept, decided to date support the project undertaken by ARPA, contributing their acquired knowledge. It is thus, as the base were born from the present Internet.
Of later way, in 1983, ARPA changes protocol NCP, by TCP and IP. In 1986, the NFS, creates the NFSNET, that would become, in main the main one of the Internet. Several European countries, did the same in the Old Continent.
Later, language HTML is created, soon the World Wide Web (www) and the first Web server. This happened per 1990. Of equal way, they went developing improvements to the Internet.
By all mentioned previously, if it is wanted to respond who invented the Internet, is due to name the department of defense of the United States, altogether with the scientists and important technicians of or universities, like the MIT and the University of Berkley.
