A purified ALKALOID derived from a rare Chinese herb, used in traditional Chinese
medicine to treat fever. In limited studies huperzine A has exhibited anticholinesterase activity and improved memory and cognitive function in patients with dementia. It is being investigated as a possible treatment for or preventive of ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE. There is inadequate safety data for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
